Objectives
The DP Refresher and Competency Assessment Course is a brief training program designed to update the knowledge and skills of technicians or other personnel who already have experience in dynamic positioning (DP). The course aims to ensure that they stay abreast of the latest DP technology, operational procedures, as well as current safety standards and regulations.
Additionally, the course also aims to assess and test participants' competency in operating DP systems, troubleshooting, and handling emergency situations that may arise onboard.
Eligibility
- Course is only available for DPOs with current DPO certificates.
- The course allows DPOs who have not been on working DP vessel a method to refresh their knowledge about DP operations, DP Bridge teamwork, Emergency DP resource Management and to stay current with the latest industry guidelines.
- DPO who wants to revalidate his NI-DP Full Operator certificate which is nearing expiration.
- The original DPO Certificate should be presented at the DP center where the DP Refresher Course is completed.
- DPO must be completed minimum 30 days DP Familiarizations
